Make the most of your private health benefits

Don’t lose out on your healthcare benefits — use them before they expire.

The end of the year is fast approaching, which means that there are only a few months left to use your healthcare benefits. Most healthcare providers put expiration dates on your yearly fund, so if you haven’t used yours yet, it’s a great time to get the dental care you need. Whether you need a check-up and clean, or have been putting off a more serious treatment for some time, we encourage you to come in and see us as soon as possible. There’s no use losing out on necessary care — let us help you maintain your healthy smile!

What treatments are available?

At Kitchener Street Dental, we offer a comprehensive range of dental services, including:

  • Children’s dentistry
  • General dentistry
  • Restorative procedures
  • Orthodontics
  • Cosmetic treatments

If you haven’t been to see us for a while and have some of your healthcare fund to use, we encourage you to come in for a general check-up. During a check-up, your dentist will perform a thorough examination of your teeth and gums and check for any potential issues. Your teeth will also be scaled and cleaned in order to remove any calculus from around and between your teeth and under your gums. Any stains will be removed with a specially formulated paste, and fluoride will be applied to your teeth to help strengthen them.

If your dentist identifies any issues, they will customise a treatment plan especially for you and address any questions or concerns you might have. For a full list of the treatments that we offer, please have a look here.

Is it safe?

We understand that many people feel anxious about seeking dental care while the COVID-19 pandemic is still a reality.

At Kitchener Street Dental, we have taken every precaution to care for our staff and patients’ health as we resume our routine dental services. According to the Australian Dental Association, regular dental treatments may now be provided so along with our usual infection control procedures, we have included some additional preventative measures into our protocol. Our staff wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when appropriate; we have strengthened our cleaning procedures; and our team is reminded regularly of our infectious diseases policies.

We want all of our patients to feel safe and comfortable at our practice and our team is dedicated to providing top quality care. Our sterilisation procedures have always been important to us, and we use state-of-the-art sterilisation equipment that allows our team to work as efficiently as possible.

What payment options are available?

We offer a number of payment options at Kitchener Street Dental. We support the Child Dental Benefit Schedule (CDBS), which is a dental program that provides eligible children with up to $1000 in benefits for basic dental services. We also offer a 10 percent discount to seniors.
Our practice is a preferred provider for a number of private healthcare providers, including Bupa MemberCare, HBA members first, Medibank Member’s Choice Advantage, TUH, HCF, DVA, CBHA and NIB.
